• What standards do you follow during the design process?
All aspects of the design meet and surpass IPC standards or any other standards that the customer or manufacturing site requests.

• What processes do you follow to ensure quality designs?
At Vision Circuit Technologies, we have a series of extensive design checks as described in the "Services" section of our website. .We are also an ISO 9000:2001 registered company.

• What means of communication/file sharing will we be using if we work at separate locations?File transfers and daily interactions are done through ftp, email or our website (customer interaction). Real time interaction is available through the telephone combined with screen sharing capabilities which allow you to view the designer’s screen on your computer in real time.

• What is Valor Verification?
Valor is the leader in vertically integrated engineering software solutions for the PCB Design, Fabrication and Assembly industry (see http://www.valor.com). Vision Circuit Technologies uses Valor’s Enterprise 3000 software to analyze the PCB design files to determine if there will be any difficulties in manufacturing, assembling, or testing the Printed Circuit Board.

• Why should I use Valor?
First, there are checks conducted by Valor which can’t be done by the CAD software, such as: , gang openings, silkscreen clearances, annular rings, silk screen line widths, slivers, stub segments, negative plane spacing, thermal relief spacing, silk screen text orientation, acid traps, and string overlaps. By using Valor, difficulties in manufacturing and assembly will be highlighted which won’t be identified by the CAD software. . Second, by conducting the analysis of the design before sending it for manufacturing and assembly, design induced problems can be modified ensuring higher yield and higher performance reliability; thus the cost of the analysis is recouped through lower manufacturing costs and higher reliability (lower repair costs). . Finally, some manufacturers will demand that your design is run through a DFM verification program before they will attempt to fabricate the board. By having the Valor check conducted by the PCB designer rather than by the manufacturer, time is saved since the changes can be made by the designer immediately.

• Who can I contact to schedule a design or get a quote?
Our contact information can be found under the Contact us section of this website. A brief description of your design statistics and requirements will help us determine an accurate quotation. Alternatively you may access our Request for Quote form directly on our website.

• Do you manufacture boards?
No, but we will take responsibility to have your boards manufactured and assembled should you require that service.

• Can you edit existing CAM files?
We can make minor modifications to Gerber files and ODB CAM outputs. Please contact us so we can assess your requirements.
